The folks who stayed with us last week had a bit of a bumpy start with the weather system that came in on Monday. So we were so happy that their last day was extra special with a swim-by of a pod of dolphins followed by a gorgeous sunset. You all were super troupers!

It's unanimous! The new biodegradable Agave straws we just started using have passed the test! Using byproducts from the tequila industry (thank you very much, all you tequila drinkers!!), agave straws are made from agave leftovers. It is a plentiful and easily cultivated resource. Our "testers" said they don't get soggy like the paper straws we had been trying. Nor do they break like bamboo straws we've seen tried elsewhere.
Agave straws are consumed by microorganisms and will fully biodegrade within 1-5 years, whereas the biodegradation of plastic straws takes approximately 800-1400 years. Not a hard choice to make!! SIP AWAY!
